Grung Traits

  • Age: Grungs mature within 1 year and live up to 50 years.
  • Alignment: Most grungs are lawful and tend toward evil due to their rigid caste-based society.
  • Arboreal Alertness: You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
  • Amphibious: You can breathe both air and water.
  • Poison Resistance: You have resistance to poison damage and the poisoned condition.
  • Poisonous Skin: When a creature touches your bare skin or grapples you, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + proficiency bonus) or become poisoned for 1 minute. The poisoned creature can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns to end the effect.
  • Weapon Poisoning: As part of a piercing weapon attack, you may apply your poison. On a hit, the target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + proficiency bonus) or take 2d4 poison damage.
  • Standing Leap: Your long jump is up to 25 feet and your high jump is up to 15 feet, with or without a running start.
  • Water Dependency: If you do not immerse yourself in water for at least 1 hour each day, you gain 1 level of exhaustion at day's end. You can only remove this exhaustion by magic or submerging in water for 1 hour.

Languages

  • You can speak, read, and write Grung and two other standard languages of your choice.
