Darakhul Traits
- Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
- Hunger for Flesh: You must consume 1 pound of raw meat each day or suffer the effects of starvation. After 24 hours without doing so, you gain one level of exhaustion. While you have exhaustion from this trait, you can't regain hit points or remove exhaustion levels until you spend 1 hour consuming 10 pounds of raw meat.
- Imperfect Undeath: Though you are considered a Humanoid, you are susceptible to effects that target undead. You can be healed by cure wounds and similar spells, but are also affected by features like Turn Undead. Effects like revivify return you as a darakhul, while true resurrection or wish can restore you to your original race.
- Powerful Jaw: You have a bite attack that deals 1d4 + your Strength modifier piercing damage, and counts as a natural melee weapon used in place of an unarmed strike.
- Sunlight Sensitivity: You have disadvantage on attack rolls and Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, your target, or the subject of your perception is in direct sunlight.
- Undead Resilience: You have resistance to necrotic and poison damage, immunity to disease, and advantage on saving throws against being poisoned. If you’ve eaten 1 pound of raw meat in the last 24 hours, you can reduce 1 level of exhaustion after a short rest.
- Undead Vitality: You do not need to breathe, and you enter a semiconscious dormant state for 6 hours instead of sleeping. While dormant, you have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks. You gain the same rest benefits as a human who slept for 8 hours.
