Consonant Matrix

The consonant matrix is a brand new cutting edge technology that is expected to change the future. Invented by the research and development department of the UAG, a consonant matrix is a complex type of crystalline matrix that enables multiple scepter tone key crystals to smoothly blend their energies to work together in tandem. Prior to this invention, the scepters could only be used individually, unlike other types of tone key crystals that are routinely combined in many different configurations.

Utility

  The use of consonant matrices makes it possible for an entire team of pilots to work together to fly a huge super freighter like the new cavalier class, and as we all know, the UAG is a big believer in the concept of bigger always being better. At present, there are only three prototypes of the cavalier in operation, but according to the UAG, these new cavalier class freighters will revolutionize transport throughout the galaxy with their ability to carry huge loads of cargo, as well as large numbers of passengers, in one trip.

Access & Availability

  The design, construction and operation of the consonant matrices is a closely guarded secret. Every aspect of this new technology is regulated by the UAG with access being granted strictly on a need to know basis. These complex new matrices have been installed in five cavalier freighters so far, but only three are still operational, as two of the freighters have been lost. One crashed into a portal and was destroyed and the other was presumed lost between portals when it entered the synaptical routes but never exited. Despite these setbacks, and the little problem of the fact that all but the major hubs have docking facilities that are too small to accommodate freighters the size of the cavalier class, the UAG still has plans to expand their fleet.
