Town of Dafidev (DAH-fih-dehv)
Dafidev is a settlement located deep within the Silver Forest.
Districts
- Dafidev's New Town is where the large majority of the town's population reside, and is built on top of a fortified foothill of the nearby mountain. It is called "New" not because that portion of the town was settled more recently, but rather because it is so much younger than the Eternal Archive that dominates the more recently settled Old Town.
- Dafidev's Old Town contains the most noteworthy of the town's sites, such as the Cemetery, the School of Wizardry, and the Eternal Archive.
Guilds and Factions
- The Dafidev School of Wizardry dominates Dafidev's politics, and as it lacks much of a formal government or administrative system of its own, the town usually defers to the School's expertise, giving them an outsized role in the day to day lives of all the town's denizens--wizards and non wizards alike.
- The Merchants' Guild handles any incoming and outgoing trade for the village. They run the town's market square in New Town,
Points of interest
- Dafidev Cemetery, one of the largest cemeteries in Mayudar, is accessible through Old Town.
- Dragon's Roost is a bustling tavern located near the center of New Town.
- The Eternal Archive, a collection and library amassed and founded by the Silver Dragon herself, is the largest library in the known world, and is built directly into the large mountain north of Old Town.
