Two towns in the contested land (Armsford and Totenly) involve Hadovea and Geldheim in their conflict resulting in Armsford with the assistance of Hadovea winning the battle

The contested lands in no place for the feint hearted. A scattering of villages, townships, baronies and the like all spread out with no solid allegiance to each other. Diplomacy in this area is chaotic at best, alliances are forged and broken frequently and conflict can start over the most trivial of matters. To the North of Lake Moridale the large townships of Armsford and Totenly. Between them a large sway of countryside that both have claimed ancestral rights to for a number of decades. Despite of this an uneasy peace has existed until a most unfortunate straw broke the camels back. The son of the Mayor of Armsford has run off with the bakers daughter leaving his betrothed (who happens to be the daughter of the mayor of Totenly) embarrassed at the alter of their arranged marriage. Totenly, outraged at the offence now intends to take this land between them by force, requesting assistance from the Kingdom of Geldheim by way of a small elite force in exchange for suppling Totenly militia for a coming battle. As you can no doubt guess Armsford has made the same offer to the Hadoveans.

Battle Outcome

It was a bitter sweet moment for Armsford. The battle had been won with the assistance of the Hadovean Empire but there was a cost. Their Mayor had been assassinated within the conflict by Totenly aided by a group of Geldheimers and some mercenaries. His replacement sat meekly at the head of the feasting table clearly overwhelmed by the situation. Around him a number of Geldheim soldiers rejoices sharing stories of the battle. The sight of the first wave lead ferociously by the Dragoon cleaving though the enemy ranks like a knife through butter. They would not have it all their own way of course and the Gelheimers rallies fighting back fiercely and killing the Armsford Mayor in the process. However the day what ultimately won by the more experienced Hadoveans who took the field leaving the Kingdoms and the Mercenary with not choice but to withdraw.
Noticing the discomfort of the new Mayor, Mikhail approached to offer his congratulations for a victorious battle. Of course it was not too long before the matter of their agreement was brought up. The battle was won and Armsford would be expected to honor their agreement with the Hadoveans.
