How the Battle began

The sounds of camp preparation carried across the plain. Far off in the distance, to the North East, their destination, the Uaimh Coibhneil Mountain. Scorla had landed guard duty and, whilst on one hand avoided the arduous task of trench digging, setting up tents and preparing food… On the other hand, he would now be on his feet for the next several hours with nothing to do but stare across the empty landscape. Well, at least it had looked empty. By the time Scorla had realized what the dark shapes moving across the savannah were, it was already too late. He wheeled to sound the alarm – THWAP – the arrow pieced his neck, he staggered and fell silently to the ground, no alarm raised.

Battle Outcome

The Kingdom and Militia forces had gambled on a successful ambush and holding the Empire forces at Seas mu Dheireadh.
They had gambled and they had lost.
This left the main fortress relatively unprotected, the second battle was a short, violent and bloody affair with Hadovean's taking Uaimh Coibheniel. As a side note this battle aslo resulted in the capture of Trelor by the Hadovean House the Crimson Hand who were able to capture Trelor without even their fellow Hadovean forces noticing and then secure the captive Trelor in an abandoned fort in the contested lands
