Religious uprising of Esharian cults during the expansion of Issay destablized the society and nearly led to revolt. The monarchy had to appeal to Raddenir to help quell the cults, but failed to counter the strong narratives of Esharian clerics. In addition, feudal infighting broke out and threatened to disintegrate the realm. The salvation came from the brilliantly negotiated deal with Valkarnis Skylarchy to secure the necessary resources to placate the cults. Still, since that time the Esharian doctrine is frowned upon in Issay.
