Bymoor
Bymoor is a capital city of Ad'dena
Nestled in the damp, buzzing heart of the swamplands, Bymoor is a city that defies polish with stubborn pride. Born from grit rather than glory, it was first founded by prospectors drawn to rumors of buried wealth beneath the muck. But Bymoor's true rise came not from gold, but grit—when outlaws and criminals organized, struck it rich, and corrupted the entire region.
Today, Bymoor is infamous for its plague of insects, a relentless swarm bred by the surrounding wetlands. Saying goes you haven’t really arrived in Bymoor until you’ve swallowed a bug mid-sentence.
Despite its grime and crime—or perhaps because of it—Bymoor has earned a strange reverence as the City of Messengers. “Anything can be delivered in Bymoor,” its unofficial motto. Be it whispered secrets, forbidden cargo, or desperate prayers, the city is a hub of movement and message. Its labyrinthine alleys and constantly shifting population lend it an energy that borders on manic. People are always arriving, always leaving.
According to legend, Bymoor was meant to beautify an otherwise wretched landscape. Ask any local, and they’ll laugh in your face. “Ugly as fuck,” they’ll tell you with pride. The locals scoff at attempts to rewrite their history with fake intentions. To them, the grime is honest and the edge is real.
Yet even Bymoor's chaos has limits. A storm brews as the Church of Penitent Heart moves to discipline and publicly humiliate the city's followers of Xephra. But those who walk the shifting paths of Xephra are too deeply embedded: couriers, smugglers, mages, and gatekeepers of advanced knowledge. To the elites and commoners alike, they are indispensable.
And those who can’t ride the current, drown in the mire.
