The Obligatory Oddities of D'Voire Rejarde

Each Obligatory Oddity pays 200 gold per person, capping at 800 gold.

The Alleviating Alleys near Autumn’s Ale

Contact: Autumn Cradilly   Location: Autumn’s Ale and Dining, in Mellowfield   Mission: Patrons of my bar have been complaining about having their money stolen after leaving. Lots of it. But not one of them remembers being jacked. I gave a few people some coin and had them walk around the hood to draw out any suspicion and found that anyone who walked through the alleys near my establishment would their money whisked away with no explanation. I need you to find out what’s causing it, and stop it real fast.

The Belligerent Beehives of Betty Brownnose

Contact: Fabienne Sauveterre   Location: New Neffleton   Mission: Ever since Betty Brownnose got those dozen beehives, I can’t walk by her yard without wanting to deck someone. Now that’s preventing me from going to her door to ask her for some of that fine honey, so I would be gratuitous if ya’ll could get to the bottom of this.

The Cautious Crevasse in Cyclone Creek

Contact: Emi the Vast   Location: Cyclone Creek   Mission: The most beautiful widowfish swim in the Cyclone Creek, but lately, if you look close enough, you can see that the earth beneath the creek slowly open up and swallow the fish whole. Someone’s gotta stop this and look out for the pretty fishies.

The Introspective Illustrations of Iliya Ivanova

Contact: Ophelia Ivanova   Location: The Roost   Mission: My daughter Iliya has always been a talented artist; people could always see themselves in her work. But lately, people have literally began to do so. Two people could be looking at the same painting but each see individual horrific depictions of their inner torment. Frankly, Iliya’s been scared silly and refuses to paint anymore. Someone’s gotta figure out why this is happening and let her know she’ll be okay.

The Laughing Lamppost of Limpell Lane

Contact: Baptiste Lachapelle   Location: Downtown   Oddity:Now see, there’s this lamp outside my bedroom window that has a habit of snickering at people when they walk by. That’s not normal, innit? What’s more, it’s impossible to sleep. Wouldya shut it up for me?

The Neatnick Nonsense near New Neffleton

Contact: Anonymous   Location: Neffleton woods   Mission: This is kind of embarrassing, but I have a huuuuuuuge crush on Bobby Brimclave. A month ago, I wrote his and my name in a heart under the Dewblossom tree like you’re supposed to if you want someone to ask you out. But the next day, I came back and it was as if I never wrote anything. Every day I would write on the trees, just a few at first, but later, all over the woods. And every day, they would somehow be clean. At this rate, Bobby will never notice me. Help!

The Suspicious Staches of Stonehalt Sanctuary

Contact: Gaëtane Cosette   Location: Brinkview   Mission: Stonehalt Sanctuary is a temple to built for citizens to give thanks to the titan who gave their life to give us this island. As an avid attender, I was furious to find several bodiless moustaches floating around there. This is an outrage that must be resolved IMMEDIATELY!

Seeker Society Missions

Disappearances at the Mirage Arcade

Location: Icculo, Island of Illusion   Icculo's most recent attraction, the Mirage Arcade, has been a phenomenal success since its inception 28 years ago. However, a previous employee found a direct connection from a string of missing people all over Vithala, to attendees of the Arcade. Fearing for their safety, they have since fled Icculo, but we did some investigation and are now rightfully suspicious of the venue.   Mission (10,000 gold): We need a team of people to infiltrate the Mirage Arcade as customers, discover what is causing these people to disappear, and stop it. This problem is most likely coming from within the attraction, so basically: we're sending you on undercover vacation!

Finding Wizards in Evik

Location: Evik, Island of Evocation   With Evik under attack by the materialized wizards, Vithala is in crisis mode. The military has been doing a fantastic job of evacuating citizens and is now trying to take back the island. This is great and all, but puts opportunity on a short timeline. There are great wizards who we could be talking to!   Mission (12,000 gold): Either get a pass from the military to enter Evik or infiltrate in yourself, find the following Wizards, and let me talk to them via Shellphone.   -Ilde Balderk, AKA: Blizzard, the Blowtorch Wizard - Proud crafter of magical devices -Nuraval Lutgehr, The Silent Handshake - Esteemed espion, rumoured to know secrets about everyone -Eridred Traubon, The Sadhatter - Master of Uplifting Dreams and Diaries   Bonus (1500 gold per Wizard): If you can bring any of them off the island and back to headquarters, you'll be rewarded!

The Ghost Ship

Location: The Wayward Sea   There have been reports of a bleeding ship appearing in the Wayward Sea. Our sources say that it looks as if it has been under attack, with strange spikes protruding from it, as if the ship had suffered some strange explosion. Mentions of this ship have shown up in history for the past millennia, yet everyone said the same thing: that the ship appeared out of nowhere, veiled by swirling mist, but vanished a few minutes later, preventing anybody from being able to explore it and search for answers or survivors.   We've done an extensive search of legends/mentions of this throughout history and have noticed a complicated, yet consistent pattern to its appearance. If our calculations are correct, the ship should appear again in the next few months.   Mission (5,000 gold: We need a few teams that can monitor the Wayward Sea and do whatever they can within reason to board the ship when it appears. Find out whatever you can about the ship, especially what its purpose is and if there are any entities on there that can communicate.   Bonus (2,000 gold): Secure the ship

The Evergrowth

Location: Nor/Nil, Islands of Necromancy   Attached by a bridge to Nor, the island where Vithala buries its dead, is Nil, where the majority of fruits, and vegetables of the Archipelago are grown. Nil is home to the Evergrowth: a small forest where fruits grow in a day. Despite the essentiality of Nil, there is no transparency. Very few are allowed on the island. The most the public is allowed to see is the dark cloaked figures that dart around the outskirts of the forest and deliver the resources to merchant ships.   Nil has always been a mystery, but as of late, our interest in the island has grown. There was a priest snuck onto the island, investigating a suspicion, but he was caught by the Cloaks. He managed to escape, but he was never quite the same, never quite all there. We interviewed him a couple months ago and spoke with shaken breaths that the Cloaks were not humanoids. "Fiends," he said, "Fiends power the Forest. They siphon our sustenance from their superior. They rot our roots and cascade our carcasses. We're all eating demon poop."   He died at midnight, devoured by his nightmares, and was laid to rest near the island that broke him.   Mission (8,000 gold): Investigate this conspiracy. Are we really being fed by a demon? If so, the island's Guardian may be a warlock, so we may need to be wary. Be careful not to collapse our source of food, but do your best to bring back concrete proof of who is really running The Evergrowth, and what their intentions are.

The Working Door

Currently inactive. Investigation will resume in the near future.   Location: Corothir, Island of Conjuration   The City of Doors has been cold for almost 12 years. Multiple times, we have sent people to investigate it, but there were never any results. None until two years ago, when Azularis Skyfellow and her team vanished. Azularis was the only one to make it back: flying back exasperated, and collapsing at the doorstep of our headquarters. We asked her where she had been, where the others were, but all she was able to say was, "I found a door," before she fell into a coma. It's been three months, but we have not been able to wake her. Once she comes to, we will continue our investigation.
