The Gods

Born out of the elemental forces of the Founding, the Gods play an active role in shaping and protecting the Isles of Eiko. They are separated into 3 Castes, each with a leader and a divine jurisdiction. The many races that the gods watch over often worship multiple gods, appealing to the god of a specific domain in times of need. There are a few who devote themselves wholly to one god in particular, becoming servants or warriors in that gods name.   Balance Caste: The Balance Gods are responsible to maintain the Balance and Justice of the world. They often act as mediators between the other gods, and only intervene in the affairs of mortals when they threaten to break the balance of the world on a large scale and no mortal means of correction are present.   Power Caste: The Power Gods drive the fundamental nature of the world. They are the most temperamental and impulsive of the gods are the most likely to directly interfere in mortal affairs directly. Most often the focus of worship by warriors and rulers.   Life Caste: The Life Gods are responsible for overseeing the flow of life in the world. They maintain their domains, breathing new life into the world and reclaiming that life force when a being dies. Most often the focus of worship by farmers, hunters and others who live off the land.
