Matron Mother

  Like most Drow noble families in the Underdark House Dumitrenteau is led by a Matron Mother who was always a cis woman and high priest and cleric of Lolth, The Spider Queen. The position of Matron Mother is hereditary although it does not follow a strict rule of succession, but more is passed down to whoever has the power to claim it within the family. The Matron Mother has uncontested rule within the house, deciding the future for all born under its Purple Worm emblem. She rallies the house to war, approves raids and trade deals, and ensures a "healthy" amount of infighting amongst the priestesses of her family, forcing only the most cunning and powerful to have a chance to seize the title of Matron Mother.   For the last few generations, the Matron Mother of House Dumitrenteau has been in the position of Lil Malla Ilharess, The Honored Matron. The Lil Malla Ilharess is the leader of the ruling government of Crinti Ilhan which is a council of 8 houses called Orthae Malla Talthalra. This has allowed the already powerful house to skyrocket in wealth and prestige.

Priestesses

Directly below the Matron Mother in influence and status is the priestesses of the house. It was an unwritten expectation that females born into House Dumitrenteau would become inducted into the clergy, but not all female Dumitrenteau had what it took to become a priestess, or they did and The Spider Queen disfavored them for some reason or another. A priestessess main goal within House Dumitrenteau was to continue to appease Lolth and garner her favor for the house. Priestessess conduct rituals, and oversee celebrations and important milestones for those within the House. They also use their status within the clergy of Lolth to gather information on the religious ceremonies and rituals of rival houses and organize efforts to attempt to sabotage them. Summoning demons to add to the ranks of the House was also an important responsibility.   That being said a priestess also did many things to serve their personal ambition. By successfully empowering the House they could leverage success for more influence amongst the family, gaining allies and supporters within and without to eventually make a play for Matron Mother.  

Officers of The House

In other Noble Houses, the officers of the house would be reserved for the more respected and capable male members of the house, but due to the particular extremeness of misandry amongst Talthalran Drow (of which House Dumitreanteau is entirely composed), these positions are often held by female members of the House who are unfit for the priesthood, with exceptions for the Patron (Consort). Officers of The House are appointed by the Matron, often with suggestions from the priestesses of the family. This is, of course in an attempt to gain allies for a future seizing of the Matron title, so Matrons will normally ignore or actively avoid suggested Officers, which is an anticipated move, so rarely will a priestess propose a person they actually want to have the position and the web is weaved wider and wider.

House Captain

The House Captain, also known as the Weapon Master, was the direct leader and organizer of military forces under the influence of House Dumitreanteau. It was their responsibility to manage the day-to-day operations of The House Military, review potential targets for raiding or conquests, and personally lead the House's forces into battle should their direct presence be required. When House Dumitreanteaus Matron Mother also holds the position of Lil Malla Ilharess it was the House Captain's responsibility to manage the defenses of Crinti Ilhan. The House Captain has nearly total authority over the military, with only few individuals able to command them or over rule thier choices; House Patron (if given authority by The Matron Mother), and inquizitors of the Priesthood, and of course the Matron Mother herself have this power. 

 House Wizard

The House Wizard is the leader of House Mages and the go to for anything related to the arcane arts of the world. They attempt to study and predict pheneome of the Underdark, they create and maintaine the powerful magic items of the House, and they train other mages who compose the wizards of House Dumitreanteau. Wizards, cursed with great ambitions that can only be amplified by being in Drow society, often reach and grasp more power that would typically be expected of them. A famous example is that of
