Qimbyr
Village of the Pass
As the seasons change, a village moves slightly, never more than a mile at a time, migrating as the changing winds push them to find any place where they may not be shredded by the coming gales. If they move too far from their original place, travelers coming through the dangerous pass may be lost, but not far enough, and the delicate leather of many of their buildings will be turned to ribbons by winter's winds and storms that care little for what is in their path. It is a delicate balance, every season making the correct choices, but it is a cycle that continues as constantly as the sun rises and sets, one that dictates the ever-changing nature of living in the Spine of Kallex.
Very few villages can be found amongst the jagged peaks of this dangerous mountain range, and fewer still that remain year after year when everything here is meant to kill, maim, and erase. Qimbyr is one such village, even if it slightly moves throughout the year. It is one end of Qimbyr Pass, the mark of a successful crossing of the Spine of Kallex. It’s people who live to serve those who have survived the dangerous trek, even if living in such a location is also a threat to their own lives. At the end of it all, Qimbyr remains, no matter the circumstances and impossibilities that say it should not.
Demographics
Qimbyr is strictly populated by a handful of Barbarians of the Llanowen Clan, although Barbarians of other clans may stay in the village and assist throughout the year. These Barbarians are often Emerald Elves that are accustomed to the hardships of the Spine of Kallex and have chosen to stay in this mostly stationary village and assist those that travel Qimbyr Pass instead of living the more nomadic lifestyle that is common for the Barbarians.
Travelers through the village vary greatly, especially at certain points of the year. Rarely are Jade Elves seen on the pass, but Emerald Elves and Silver Elves are somewhat common, along with Clay Giants and

A dangerous and ragged mountain range, the Spine of Kallex is home to many hearty flora and fauna that have become accustom to the harsh climates of the mountains. Here, one can find one end of the Great Tunnel and a variety of people that travel throughout the mountains.
Geography
Qimbyr is considered the western end of Qimbyr Pass, one of the safest mountain passes that crosses the Spine of Kallex. Situated roughly twenty miles north of the Feyline in the Spine, this village was created as part of the pass, a safe haven on the far side of the mountains before travelers entered the western portion of the Elven Forest. While a relatively safe location, the village does move within a five-mile radius during the year as the winds force it. The village rests on a small, mostly flat plateau in an area of the Spine of Kallex where the mountains slowly turn to foothills. Still being at a relatively high elevation, the wind can blow at speeds upwards of eighty miles an hour, forcing the short migration of the village. Even with the movement, Qimbyr is easy to spot as one is coming down Qimbyr Pass on the west side, marking an end to the otherwise grueling trek.History
Qimbyr was built soon after the final Dragon Stones were placed, securing the path of Qimbyr Pass. The original creator of the pass believed it was necessary to have a safe resting place for those who

Infrastructure
Due to its location and the somewhat transient nature of the village and its inhabitants, Qimbyr is home to only a handful of buildings, only two of which are permanent. The village of less than forty residents boasts an inn and a general store that are well-stocked and open to the weary traveler. Beyond these two buildings, a variety of temporary buildings made from Dragon Pine poles and treated leather house those who live and work not only in the village but also along Qimbyr Pass. More of these buildings may be added throughout the year as more guides are needed along the pass.Architecture
Most of the buildings in Qimbyr are simple ones of Dragon Pine poles and treated leather that can be easily put up or taken down as necessary, but the general store and inn are built differently in order to be a bit more permanent. Situated in the center of the plateau that the village sits on, these two buildings are made from Dragon Pines that have been cut to stack and interlock, allowing them to hold up to the wind with little more than a hearty resin or tar between them. These buildings are repaired frequently throughout the year, with coats of tar or resin being added to keep the buildings as water-tight and windproof as possible. Almost all perishable goods that come to the village are stored in these buildings, so the structural integrity of the inn and general store must remain sound.Dragon Pines
Dragon Pines grow in the inhospitable areas of the Spine of Kallex, often making the mountains seem less dangerous as the stands of trees in the area and the thick fog hides the jagged cliffs and deep valleys.
I love the idea that the village slowly moves around to avoid the worst of the weather.
