Silvano leads an endeavor to protect psychics within Greenbriar's realm of influence.

Early on, efforts were made in trying to figure out why certain MES gifted individuals were exempt from the destructive power of The Scream. In speaking to one another, it seemed a common thread that everyone who was in cold sleep, stasis, or otherwise disconnected from the universe was spared the mental ravages of the psionic event.   There was a mounting level of suspicion that psychics were the cause of the scream, and although there had not been any outright violence, the colony sat under a palpable level of tension as rumors flew wildly.   Silvano Mazzio spearheaded an effort to find other psychics and create a safe place for them in the colony, working to re-found an academy on Gudrun- with the added goal of working to discover the cause of the scream. Silvano and Doona Ahn found several students, psychics hiding in plain sight, or simply hiding, and developed a comprehensive training plan to ensure their powers could be employed safely. More continue to be found as the colony accepts refugees from other areas, many fleeing the genocidal persecution of the Tenebrian Remnant.   Today, the academy has officially opened its first campus in Greenbriar central, home to just over a dozen students- all eager for work.
