Fleshshaper scout forces enter UNW space.

As The Fleshshapers armadas continued to push out from their region of space, it was a matter of time before their tendrils began to creep into the United Nation of Worlds. Five months into the third year of UNW history, three enormous, living asteroids appeared without warning in the systems of Tsatsos, Sumati, and Terezinho. These Fleshshaper rocks bore towards the populated worlds at high speed, forcing the local defense fleets under the command of their governors to defend their homes alone.   Fully understanding the dire ramifications of allowing a Fleshshaper infestation to take root and feed on a planets biomass, the three governors gathered their respective fleets and took the fight to the asteroid. To the relief of the threatened populations, all three leaders were decorated heroes of the UNW; Billy Rigers for Tsatsos, Seung Whittaker for Terzinho and Shriven Emaje of Sumati. The valiant efforts of the local naval forces combined with the inspired leadership of the governors resulted in a victory for the UNW, with all three asteroids destroyed before they reached their targets.   This brush with disaster was taken seriously by the Unity Council, with a project to establish a better warning system against Fleshshaper attacks being formed, headed by Hailey Clements. The reports on the attacks suffered by New Moon Cooperative worlds made it clear that this was merely a prelude to larger invasions.
