Chris Fury

Chris Fury grew up on Acastus under the rule of the Still Lady. His father, Lex, a journalist and writer of novels, was jailed by the cultists. His mother, Maeve, a hydroponics worker and poet, suffered under suspicion and being an apostate. His addict sister Evelyn, a worshiper and informer for the Still Lady was killed during the revolution. Evelyn painted many disturbing murals and portraits for the cult's Magisters while under their spell which brought shame to the family. Chris joined the Resistance as a blade carrying undercover insurgent, something he doesn't talk much about. Life was hard for the Furys during what Acastans now call, the "Shadow of the Still Lady".   After the Heroes of the UNW (Billy, Hailey, Dax, Regulus and Desmond) freed Acastus, Chris's father was released and his mother reunited what was left of her family in their small, book strewn, apartment.   Chris is trying to make it as a hydroponics worker, a part time barista and an aspiring singer-songwriter so as to help support his fractured family. This isn't easy in the newly free but still dark, neon lit world of Acastus which spins off center in this ever active Sector of Space!   He recently found a shadow monster growing in a feeder tank at his work (Hydro-Farm) and successfully fought it off with an improvised blow torch normally used to repair pipes. Later that night he met Joshua Collins a Trivedi Technologies worker who is helping hunt down shadows on Acastus. Joshua gave him a Kris knife from the local Cultists and a Thermal pistol. To show his appreciation he wrote a song about Joshua.   After Joshua dealt a killing strike to one of the remaining cultists he offered Chris free passage to Gudrun. While there Chris made two viral performances, one at the Harvest Spirits and one in the Gudrun Market. He has been nicknamed the "Acastus Crooner". Chris recorded his first album and sold it with Hailey Clements.   He went back to Acastus with his music money to make a Psike TV Miniseries based on his father's novel.His songs about Billy RIger, Hailey and Dax did well.   He then did a concert for Adamaris Tidecaller to found a Psychic Academy on Acastus. He did this on Psike TV with Hailey introducing the show. They raised enough money and Adamaris was able to cure many of old torture wounds Chris Fury's father had endured.   Chris then went to Buey and gave a concert their for the local Army that had fought the psychic fungi monster called the Viceroy. The VIceroy had been formed from an old piece of Terraformer Pretech that went wrong. This and the promised services of Chris's mother for a hydroponics facility conviced Buey to join the Greystar Confederation. Chris checked with Greystar and they will deconstruct the Terraformer that caused the Viceroy and bring it off world to study.   Chris went back to Acastus and convinced his parents to go to Buey. They have just landed.
