Calduria

Calduria sits at the heart of Danuria, with the vast majority of Danuria's temperate forests lying within its borders. The largest of these is the Gerwood Forest, which spans almost the entirety of the center of Calduria. The forest is home to various tribes, including isolationist groups comprised of goblins, wood elves, and even Fae creatures. These tribes are fiercely protective of the forest and engage in migration throughout its expanse.
The land where the Gerwood Forest thrives is deeply attuned to magic. Trees and foliage in this area are known to grow at exceptional rates, becoming more abundant the deeper one ventures into the forest. As a result, those residing on the outskirts can harvest and replant trees with minimal concern for deforestation. While some individuals may be driven by wanderlust or research, there is little incentive to explore deep into the forest. Calduria, therefore, holds the distinction of being the largest lumber exporter among the Seven Kingdoms. It is also renowned for its skilled carpenters and woodworkers. Additionally, the forests provide ample hunting grounds, offering a variety of game and furs.
Ryden, Calduria's capital, is a monument of safety amongst the surrounding wilderness. Surrounded on all sides by forests, its walls have served to keep its people safe from invading forces. Ryden University, the largest magic school in Danuria, is located here as well, as the quickly recovering forests (and ample threat of goblin clans) serve as the perfect testing grounds for novice mages and magical practitioners alike.
Calduria's strategic location, bordering four other kingdoms, facilitates quick and easy access to trade routes. These routes allow for the import of grains, blubber, medicinal herbs, and rare minerals from Zyrnon, Gelusia, Paludia, and Folgard, respectively. The advantageous trade connections have contributed to Calduria's ability to support the largest population among the kingdoms.
