The War for Vespia

The war for Vespia was a conflict between numerous clans on the island of Vespia. The Followers of Calistria had slowly gained more and more power in Vespia through conquest and the use of the Stingers Crown. Consequently, the use of magic, outside of pro-Calistrian military, became frowned upon and even regulated. The Followers of Mystra, who would become Orion, took large issue with this fact. They banded together with Lolth-sworn drow to launch assault after assault on the Followers of Calistria. These attacks were sporadic, but persistent, continuing on and off for decades. The Followers of Mystra were, however, severely outnumbered, and failed to take Vespia. They retreated to the colony of New Spanalia, claiming religious persecution.
