New Legrus
New Legrus sits on an archipelago of islands to the south of mainland Arcea. Many draconic creatures have drifted down here over time, including some of the dragons that agreed to work with the Church after the Fall of the 13. As a result, New Legrus is one of the last locations on Arcea where dragons and others like them are found, and serves as a home for many dragonborn tribes.
Demographics
While the dominant race in New Legrus remains humans, dragonborn, lizardfolk, and others like them that are aligned with the Church inhabit New Legrus in much more vast quantities than they do anywhere else on Arcea.
Guilds and Factions
The nobility of New Arcea is disproportionately present in New Legrus compared to the rest of New Arcea. While the percentage of nobility in Alitheis and cities along the Silver Run may be some of the highest on the continent, the percentage of noblemen in New Legrus is the highest of anywhere on the continent.
History
Unsurprisingly, New Legrus was built out of the ruins of the great city of Legrus, which was once its own island state free from the control of the Arcean government before the Fall of the 13. As a result, much of the architecture and infrastructure present in New Legrus came from what was left from Legrus, and the city has obviously ancient roots everywhere.
Architecture
Most of the city has remained the same for the past 500+ years since the founding of Legrus, and so the city of New Legrus has many of the same building styles present before the Fall of the 13. The newer buildings are made of the local plant life, with thatch roofs and walls made from either imported wood or the palm wood native to the archipelago.
Natural Resources
The archipelago itself is home to many forms of life not commonly found on mainland Arcea, which makes them valuable in a sense to those who live on the continent. The sea around the archipelago is teeming with fish life, too.
