Lineages

The lineages from Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft are available for character creation or as a future goal, but must be reviewed and approved by a DM. Lineage traits will replace race traits of your selected race, such as a dragonborn's draconic ancestry and breath weapon. You will also no longer be able to pick up or utilize race restricted feats, such as elven accuracy.
Dhampir - A weakened vampire but powerful in their own right.
Hexblood - Those altered by hags and other ancient magics.
Reborn - Those that cling to life offering a ghastly hand.

Playable Classes

All official classes (meaning that they are printed in an official D&D sourcebook) are allowed. Any class that is not official (meaning that they are NOT printed in an official D&D sourcebook, such as Unearthed Arcana/ UA) are NOT allowed.

Rolling your stats!

#Stat-Rolls

We use the 4d6 rule. You roll 4d6 and you take the 3 highest numbers. You either roll these stats in person in front of a DM or you can use the #Stat-rolls channel in the Discord using the command /roll 4d6. You must tell a DM ahead of time if you choose to do this. You can just @full time dm and @part time dm in the stat rolls channel.   Alternatively, if the stats you rolled don't total to 72 you can chose to use point buy in place of the rolled stats

Your Backstory

If you want to create a backstory filled with secrets and mystery, if your character has an ultimate mission they must complete at all costs, or if your character has a hidden motive that you want to dive into and progress without letting other players know, inform a DM. The DM’s have a document where they keep all the Player Characters’ secrets, motives, missions, and important backstory information. Work with the DM’s and tell them what you want for your character’s development. This is also a good way for DM’s to work in your character's backstory into the sessions and even start the beginning of a character arc for your character.

#Character-Introductions

Once you have finished making your character, go ahead and introduce them to everybody in the discord! Check out some of the other introductions in the #character-introduction channel to give you an idea of what to put in it.

Keeping Track of your Character and your Inventory

Buying/Selling/Trading Items can be done in session, right before the quest officially starts if you ask the DM, though this way is not necessarily guaranteed, as some quests may start off in a place where shopping is unavailable.   You can also buy magic items and provisions through the #item-trade-and-sell Click on the down on the options tab in the channel, click on the Pinned Messages, Look for the Updated Magic Items link. On this spreadsheet is a list of what magic items are for sale in the shops.   Keep your character information up to date in the #Character-Update channel. This is where we track your character levels, features, and magic items. This is to help DMs to plan sessions so that they are fair and fun for everyone.
