Zora

Guardians of the Waterways

The Zora, mysterious and graceful, are masters of the water. Their fish-like bodies, adorned with fin-like appendages and scales of various hues, glide effortlessly through their domain – a giant statue honoring their homeland. They are skilled divers, protectors against floods, and artisans of exquisite jewels.   While they favor accessories over clothing, some Zora warriors wear sleek armor for protection. Their long lives foster a deep respect for tradition, but also lead to tensions between elders and younger generations yearning for change.   The Zora inhabit the interconnected water systems of Lanayru, with their majestic Zora's Domain, a testament to their stonemasonry and pride, serving as their central hub. Mostly content within their watery haven, they only venture out for adventure, assistance, or when faced with imminent threats. Unfortunately, their reliance on water makes long journeys difficult, limiting their interaction with the outside world.   This condensed version retains the key aspects of the Zora: their aquatic nature, skills, traditions, and societal dynamics, while keeping it within the desired paragraph count.

Zora names are normally quite simple, often having no more than two syllables, and female names sometimes have a melodic tone.
