Failures & Embarrassments
Kelemvor's demise came as a result of his most audacious and ill-fated attempt to solidify his power. Emboldened by centuries of dominance, he sought to conquer even the mightiest of creature, The Dragons of The Scaled Dominion. His plan was to slay these legendary beings and add their formidable strength to his undead legions, creating a force that would have cemented his supremacy over all realms.
However, this venture proved to be his undoing. The dragons, ancient and wise, did not fall easily to Kelemvor’s dark magic. Instead, they united against the god's ambitions. In a decisive confrontation, Kelemvor found himself cornered by these majestic creatures. Unable to withstand their combined fury, he was overwhelmed and, as the legends recount, devoured by the very beasts he sought to control. With his death, the reign of Kelemvor was brought to a sudden and definitive end, his ambitions extinguished in the jaws of the dragons.
Social
Reign
In the records of ancient Europe, the reign of Kelemvor is marked as a period of profound upheaval. Utilizing an army of undead soldiers, Kelemvor expanded his dominion across vast territories, overwhelming kingdoms and regions with a force unlike any seen before. His armies, composed of countless corpses bound by his dark magic, moved with precision and discipline, unburdened by fatigue or fear.
For several centuries, Kelemvor's influence reshaped the political and social landscape of Europe. Cities and fortresses fell to his relentless advance, and rulers, unable to resist the tide of his undead forces, either submitted or faced annihilation. His campaigns were characterized not by the cruelty of other conquerors, but by an eerie efficiency. Regions under his control were governed with cold order, where the living and the dead coexisted, though always under the oppressive shadow of his power.
The sudden death of Kelemvor brought about a immediate dissolution of his empire. With no God left to control the undead legions, much of his vast army collapsed, though remnants continued to wander for generations. The territories he once held eventually returned to the hands of the living, but the memory of his reign and the mark it left on the land lingered for centuries.
Contacts & Relations
Kelemvor discovered a horrific process which corpses were raised from the dead and bend them to his will. Unlike common necromancy, this grim art preserved the soul within the decaying body, converting it into an inexhaustible source of power, allowing these shambling abominations to sustain themselves indefinitely. Upon Kelemvor's demise, the mastery he held over his undead horde perished with him, yet the accursed beings themselves continued to roam. Though the vast majority of his undead army that numbered in the hundreds of thousands has been eradicated, scattered remnants still wander into the present era. These forsaken abominations should only be confronted by those skilled in the handling hostile warriors
