SE04 : EP28 - Job Fair

A number of meridians mill around Meridian's Gate. With a knock at the door Zenith Duskridge an auditor sent on behalf of the City Council. Gynn opens the door letting her in. He points out a table with refreshments, yam rolls, tea, and coffee.   Confrence tables have been drawn together. Parathas Solori, Alder the Red, and Ryder sit awaiting the applicants. Orwyn and Councilman Stratos arrive a few minutes later.   Mo'Bahn appears to inform them that Lord Daphix would not be joining them. Delivering this in his odd way of muddling through words, Parathas decides to take him to figure the specifics of what he means. As he does a Aracoian arrives in the room, the first applicant.   Cornelius Lamont Corvacus Age: (The number is written over multiple times by multiple numbers, and is all but unreadable) Profession: Consultant Inventor Goals: To explore the possibilities of the world outside of this realm, to enrich my life. He describes it is a creation of his one and the other works he has created. Though young, but not for his species, he has significant intelligence and power. After steadily losing members over the years, the group was forced to break apart. His psyche is bit of a worry.   Next is a man-lion arrives. He explains is work with the church and his abilities. Describing his brand of magic, to use is own lifeforce to power the effects he casts. With Alder's help he provides an impressive demonstration. They discuss he might be a good fit for an upcoming mission to a demon infested world.   Name: Elnari Age: 26 Profession: Defender of the innocent and foe to the Darkness that Dreams, and any who ally with them. Goals: To take my fight against the forces of darkness beyond the edges of the world, and join with those who have long been in this larger fight. (Y) OWYNN’S NOTES: One of a handful of these dual-minded psychic folk that chose to cross over after being introduced to us by the dragons after the business in Eberron. GYNN’S NOTES: “He seems... honorable.”   A put together young man enters, hair tied back in a ponytail, dressed in flowing robes, equipped with a long sword. Introducing his abilities and story of arriving here to seek out the Meridians, foes of the dreaming dark as he was told by the dragons of Argonessen. Then he is asked to demonstrate. He moves objects with his telekinetic abilities and show impressive combat skills.   Name: Allie Age: 40 Profession: Formerly a missionary of mercy for the Church Goals: To adventure and discover my path. Past Affiliations: Church of the Travellers Skills: Combat, healing. Have you been through the portal before?(Y) Have you killed before? (Y) unfortunately, but only in self defense. Would you be willing to defend you companions and Horizon? (Y) Alder's Notes: Allie is highly regarded by those that know her in the church. Formidable martial arts skills, and a healer. Been in service to the church since childhood. Church is surprisingly vague on just what their missions work involved, but they have only nice things to say about her.   A very tall figure wrapped in brown robes enters with a bright cat mask worn under a hood. Their Tabxi physiology is only partially obscured by the looser parts of their wardrobe. They go on to explain their background and skills to the Meridians. They are seeking purpose as their path has lead them to explore other organizations and experiences.   A very tall figure enters with a long coat and has a wide hat topping their head. Their body moves in a strange gait and stride. They introduce themselves in fit and starts as Mr. Slurp. They ask about money, food, and magic items; stating they will do adventures for these things. Stratos seems oddly impressed and shoots a gust of wind to test their martial abilities causing the three Kobolds rolls out of the coat. Slurp, Swipe, and Slock, stares back at the Meridians. Aldar talks to them, giving them gold to head out.   A youthful elf enters with bag. They introduce themselves as Jasper. Stratos asks about his bag. He withdraws small sandwiches but they are made of pastry and strawberries. They explain they have recently been with the Baker's Guild. An accident involving a wooden bakery and fire. After discussing this and their background, Jasper is invited to demonstrate their abilities. Rearranging themselves in the room, the Meridian's maneuver behind Jasper and Alder stands before them. Activating his cloak, the kobold is wrapped in magical flame, full protecting him from any fire. a thin ray of golden light radiates from Jasper's finger to Alder. Concentrating for a long moment nothing happens. Then all at once a fireball explodes engulfing the room. After the effect burns out they all stand slacked jawed. Parathas questioned the wisdom of choosing a such a powerful spell to present. The others pointed out how this was asked for. But between the pastries and the fire wielding they see much potential.
