SE04 : EP24 - Red Zone pt.11

The creature starts shifting in its coils. This well appointed garden space clashes with the horrific grey wurm. The stink of death and decay roils off of its putrid hide. Its tail whips out of the hole in the ground it erupted from. As the party spreads out to combat is dives back into the ground tossing rocks and earth into the air. The debris pours down like rain. Bodies tense the group flips their heads seeking its location amongst the  up turned stonework and ruined lawns.    Daphix summons the plants to help impede the movement of the wurm. It burst forth again. The party pour magic and physicals atttack. In response it belchs forth a spray of necrotic sick. Most take damage form the gnawing spittle. Eñahkais  falls flat unconscious. Leaf moves in and raises the fallen bard with magic. With the summoning of an earth elemental that joins with Leaf's summoned fire elemental to aid the party. Parathas pours more energy into is Sunbeam attack. Ryder blasts the wurm with attacks.    A person outside the battle yells out in under common, only Ryder understands the calls for calm sent at the wurn. The spews the necrotic flehm at the party. Eñahkais falls again and Cass drops nearby. Daphux commands the earth elemental to deliver a deadly two handed melee attack. In a wet explosion the wurm falls.   The eleven man who was shouting in undercommon is joined by an equally pale fellow. They busy themselves collecting pieces of specimen. Ryder walks into the middle of them and address them in their tongue. They explain its is a cadaver transport that went berserk on its way to precinct six. As they do the local Azuris guards arrive on scene. After taking statements they use a scroll to heal the party. They thank the party for heading off the beast and minimizing the damage.   Collecting themselves they clean off with prestidigitation. After ward they enter the bussing main hall of the library. Scholars move to-and-fro. Statues flank the walk to the main desk. Arezen takes point requesting access to maps and research items related to symic. Daphix enquires about if there are books for sale. The elf thinks a moment, it you were able to destroy some of the wander archives. You could like keep what you find.     They split up and move into different sections of the shelving. Airzen, Cass, and Leaf investigate the maps. Most of the information is out of date or likely inaccurate due to the Zonots (sinkholes) that naturally shift and change. Cass not able to read looks around the various volumes. She finds a novel with a whipy blue thread used as bookmark, recognizing it as a memory engram. Showing it the group, Airzen shifts to Yith and touches it. Inside the vision the viewer is wheeled down a hallway upon a gurney. A door is ajar and as the viewer passes they see a blanket raised over the head of dead human.   Ryder, Parathas, and Daphix hunt for information on the Symic. They find that the guild is based out of Zonot Seven, the massive sinkhole the dominates the precinct. These biologist wish to combine the unique traits of all creature in an effort to create a utopia of biological perfection. Daphix over hears a conversation that is postulating if a gryphon could be out paced by Krossis, creatures that he recalls from other Horizon. Meanwhile Ryder is approached by person handing our flyers offering coin for test subjects at a building by Zonot twelve. Daphix explains what he heard and shows his frustration with how many signs are pointing to Stargazer. They discuss that perhaps that's the very point. Sara Bloodmare's note reads Zonot 52, perhaps that is where the creatures, these Krossis, they fought on Other Horizon were made.    The groups meetup and discuss the situation.
