Twifall Tea

The Myth of Twifall Tea has been around for thousands of years. All of the different local groups have a variation of the story the only constant being the properties of the Twifall Tea. The flower appears as a waterfall given flower form, it droops and the petals look like running water until the tips where it turns white like waterfalls hitting the water below.

Summary

A priest was severely injured, and the god he prayed to gave him a vial of the tea and told him to drink it so he would be cured. He did, and he was.

Historical Basis

The myth is based on a real account, someone was walking through the woods and was attacked by an animal, a hermit who was nearby had a vial of the tea and gave it to the man. When the man was healed he looked around and didn't see anyone there but was completely healed.

Spread

The myth spread far and wide, it was very popular for years, but after the fall, most have forgotten about it and those who didn't were told the story by their grandparents but treat it as a fairytale. It mostly sits in the back a the general publics mind not something they can usually recall off the top of their head.

Variations & Mutation

One variation was that a man got injured saving a girl, and she healed him

One variation was a barbarian and a cleric

The elves have pinned it so it was an orc attacking a human, and the elves gifted the tea as a show of goodwill

Cultural Reception

most of the people in the world see it as just a fairytale, an old myth that is not real. Historian are fascinated and are searching for evidence and the history of this myth. For those who live in the Twiwood, this myth is very real. Only the leaders of the groups of inhabitants and their healers are permitted to know the location of the Twifall flower and the recipe needed to make the Twifall Tea. it is not shared with any outsiders.

There are epic poems about the different variations of this myth

It is a popular trope in the romance genre where one gets severely injured on the brink of death, and their partner will kiss them and force the tea into their mouth, bringing them back, creating a passionate makeout session.

Others treat it like King Arthur and the search for Excalibur, where the whole point of the story is to find this flower to make the tea to save people in their hometown.
