The Dark Stone

It's creation is unknown, as is its early history. It first caught historical attention when Queen Lolth of Undric's husband died. At the time she was wearing earings, one which featured a black pearl and the other which had the stone. The emotions she was feeling at the news of her husbands death were sent out of control due to the stone's powers. The stone twisted her, transforming her into The Stalker. It also transformed an area of Undric into The Heart of Darkness. The party managed to retrieve the stone when they defeated the stalker. However, the ordeal did see Rao die. The stone was then used to open the second floor of The Lighthouse. The party avoided carrying this stone around on their adventures, due to its unstability and power to corrupt emotions and people. The stone was momentarily in the possesion of Alier Lionheart when he used Sera Nevale to steal the stone for him. This happened when the party changed the timeline where he originally took The Water Stone. In this timeline, he still became king of Manera, however the stone corrupted him, transforming him into the monster Lionheart Corrupted. The stone is currently in Asernia, persumably with Samuel. Rossto was able to pull an alternate reality's stone into the main timeline. However, this stone quickly became unstable and vanished.

This stone controls the darkness in the world, whether it is physical, mental or emotional. It is one of the Eight Elemental Stones needed to fully open the Lighthouse.
