Following the events of Warzone Chrysaor, the Solar Reavers deployed to the world of Blether V; The Order of the Kraken had provided evidence implicating an unknown mechanicus faction's clandestine activities on the planet, where they had reportedly been searching for and adapting strange, ancient technology for their own insidious goals.   The Solar Reavers deployed to Blether V with the objective of intercepting further technological discovery for their own purposes.

Upon arrival on the planet, the Solar Reavers were attacked by a force of Night Lord chaos space marines who struck from concealed positions. The Solar Reavers engaged the Night Lords in turn, with the conflict being interrupted by strafing runs from an unknown aircraft that engaged both sides.   Marauder Squad of the Solar Reavers siezed an opportunity amidst the chaos and successfully drove back the Night Lords, allowing the Solar Reavers to secure the town of Maud as a base of operations on Blether V.
