Kitsune's Kintsugi

Kitsune's Kintsugi is one of the various souvenir shops located on Old Ashton. Her work is made popular due to the imported clay from Orbesta, making the pottery more resilient against smashing. The building serves three purposes, as a workshop, show room and a loft for sleeping and a private area above. Out back, Lacquer has set up a private area for herself with a kitchenette and a few chairs and table under an awning.

The house serves as both Lacquer’s home, and her store. The fifty foot radius circular main floor is divided into two parts, the workshop and the showroom. The showroom consists of four shelves, lined with various pottery, along with a small display case with the three Runes she offers to etch. Behind the counter is the workshop, where Lacquer forms and paints her pottery. The back wall is filled with various exotic tools, all of which she uses in her process to etch intricate grooves and patterns into her work. She also has a proper shed made of stone out back where she has her kiln. While she does sleep in the upstairs loft, her main living space is actually outdoors, separated from the public with an intricately painted privacy fence to not take away from the scenery to fit her preferences.

Kitsune’s Kintsugi is a popular destination, especially for Draconic Kind from Orbesta. The art she crafts from their clay is more resilient than other pottery, allowing them to resist cracking when falling due to a Dragon Outburst.   Their resilience also allows them to be transported long distances, making them ideal souvenirs for tourists and adventurers. While Lacquer primarily deals in pots and vases, she also makes mugs, cups, plates and bowls.
