Avhaára knows that Shalelu was born and raised in Crying Leaf but after tragedy struck with her parents she took to the wider world and made her own life away from the village. The two have had pleasant conversations in the past, seeing each other as kindred spirits.
On the day where Avhaára escapes from Crying Leaf Shalelu explains that she is here on urgent business. Various goblin tribes in Varisia are acting strangely. More organised. She came to check the goblin population in Mierani Forest, maybe the Drow are organising the green pests? Shalelu needs to speak to the leadership of the village but promises Avhaára that they will catch up later.
After Avhaára has her encounter with the Drow Shalelu finds her. The ranger explains that she is standing behind Avhaára's decision to leave. Shalelu herself can't leave now but she gives the young elf a map of Varisia and says that she will meet her in the city of Riddleport in seven days time.
