Space Child Syndrome

Space Child Syndrome is a broad term that covers a large variety of mutations that can happen when young human children travel through The Almagest. These mutations can also occur when a pregnant mother travels through The Almagest as well. When humanity was first able to travel through The Almagest they were unaware of the risks as it does not happen to any other species. The disconnection from The Spirit World during travel is thought to be the cause of the issue, but no one is really sure why.   Most of the time, these mutations are benign. Strange hair, skin, and/or eye color are the most common mutations. Sometimes the mutations can be debilitating or even fatal.
