Chains of Anathema

Created by The Draconic Inquisition to prevent Spiritsinging when worn by their captives. Usually they consist of a collar that has been Empowered which has loops for chains and other restriants to be connected to. The process used to Empower the collar cause all Spirits to view the wearer as Anathema. Spirits will ignore any attempts by Anathema to reach out and contact them.   Due to their innate connection to The Spirit World, these Chains cause physical pain to Wychmyr if worn. Other species are usually not harmed in this way, unless they too have such an innate connection. While they are usally adept at Empowering objects, the Wychmyr are also incapable of replicating this effect for the same reason.   In recent years, other groups beyond the Inquisition have started to create their own copies of the Chains. They are popular with nefarious groups that engage in the trafficking of people, humans or otherwise.
