Anathema

While all objects and creatures that originate from Real Space have a Spirit, some Spirits are just fundimentally "wrong". These are the Anathema. It is unknown why it occurs naturally, but some have been able to intentionally mimic the effect.   Anathema objects are, for the most part, unremarkable. Most people would not notice and only those who are the most attuned to the Spirit World will feel a bit uneasy around them. An object's status as Anathema is usually only discovered when a Spiritsinger attempts to reach out to it and finds that it wil not respond to them.   Anathema creatures are also usually undetectable by the average person, but those who have even a minor affinity for Spiritsinging can usually notice them when nearby. Those who are Anathema are unable to learn how to Spiritsing as the Spirits will never respond to their attempts to reach out.
