General Darc

The first major figure in Jigwal history Generals, he is a debated character in the current world. Whether he was a warmonger or a pious warrior, everyone can at least agree he was a legendary fighter. Ultimately falling to an unknown assassin, his fight with the assassin is still commented on as an inspiration for anyone who believes in honor in fighting. Ignoring speculation on who the assassin was, General Ulysses Darc has two major works of writing in the world: Warrior of Warriors: A Guide to Battle, and a biography titled after his name. His book on war is still read by all high ranking officials in Xannioba, as his ability to account for certain circumstances was something to be highly regarded, as well as his advice in training oneself to be the best possible soldier for a kingdom. His biography focused less on his personal life (cited himself as being too boring) and focuses on his views on war and why he fights. It concluded a year before he died, leaving everyone with his belief that he wishes for the afterlife to contain more battles for him. His origin is confirmed to be from Kilosway, though he moved to Jigwal when he found the aristocrats to be too obnoxious for his needs, and it's speculated he likely would've become a mercenary for hire if Jigwal betrayed him during the war, a possibility that people fear could've occurred.
He is depicted as a short human with gray hair that swirls on top with a gray moustache and fading blue eyes. In statues, he is shown wielding a large mace and clad in heavy armor. Overall a pudgy man, men who were close with Darc claimed that he was surprisingly muscular despite his body type, explaining how he could swing a mace with such ease. Some depictions show him with a scar from a bear claw over a side of his face, but there's no evidence he ever had a scar from an animal, and likely comes from people trying to represent the rumor he had fought a bear at a young age.
