Life Energy
Life Energy is a magical force and substance created by Dina the Martyr, The Network, and the Cat Everlight.
Life Energy is essentially life itself: energy, soul, motion, potential. When articulated into a magical force, it becomes a magical force and substance that shines like daylight, emanates heat, and can be used to regenerate organic matter or cast powerful spells.
Life Energy has to come from somewhere and is typically drained from plants and ecosystems. This doesn't just kill the drained life, but it actively removes all drained nutrients from the ecosystem. The "ash" left behind from a drained life form is a strange, inorganic material known as Martyr's Ash that is not consumable by any known life form.
Life energy's easiest use is for healing: the Network heals all of its members ambiently, and can use its power to heal non-members as well. Healing can be for sickness, wounds, starvation, and even basic tiredness or thirst. The most advanced form of this kind of healing is generating entirely new bodies for fallen Network members (this cannot be done for those outside the Network).
Dina has demonstrated that there are other uses for Life Energy in her hands, though it has yet to be seen if her Officers can do the same. She has created flesh monsters, cast spells of a higher spell level than she should know, and used life energy as a direct flame cannon.
The very act of draining Life Energy can also be weaponized.
