Great Flood of Elorta

Not longer after the Apocalypse began, the 2017 Mikenan Cyclone struck the coast of the Empire of Zerua. This massive supernatural hurricane destroyed many towns and villages, but one city was annihilated dramatically: Elorta, a thriving coastal city known for its brewing and art. This is the Great Flood of Elorta.   The city of Elorta was built on the Uzubili river, reclaimed from ancient swampland through a robust system of canals, dams, and reservoirs. The hurricane triggered a mass chain of destruction all along the river, tearing down dams and creating a massive flood that struck the city hours after the hurricane had already devastated it from the coast.    The result was a disaster as terrible as any war, which destroyed all of the city but the elevated elite Old City district. A small group of adventurers helped to organize a relief effort that saved numerous lives, but even this effort was terribly limited.
