Divine Dragon

The Divine Dragon is a religious symbol and deity worshipped by the Temple of Ishkibal the Dragon. It is the ultimate force for moral good in the universe and is generally synonymous with its avatar-child-prophet Ishkibal.   The Temple of Ishkibal the Dragon generally avoids differentiating the Dragon from Ishkibal, as a way to simplify doctrine and emphasize religious connections to other sects of Ishkibism. When the Dragon does need to be differentiated, though, it is often called Yakara.   The Divine Dragon is often associated with Asala, the ancient patron Goddess of Asalay who was said to be able to transform into a dragon. Some still call the Divine Dragon that name and consider Asala and the Dragon to be the same thing. Temple doctrine generally tolerates that view and accepts it as possible, but avoids emphasizing the connection.    The Divine Dragon is a symbol of God's power and omnipresence. It is also the symbol of protection against evil and salvation for the demon-blooded, as the Divine Dragon is said to be the force that freed Dryads, Prisms, and other non-mammalian species from the influence of the Demon Gods in ancient history. So the Dragon represents the innate salvation for those species and their spiritual equality. If you believe in any of that demon stuff.   The Divine Dragon is associated with the colors of silver and white.   Whether the Divine Dragon is real or not is a matter of faith.
