Lagniappe

A lagniappe is a small, white lapine monster that is attracted to the warmth of travelers’ campfires. Its ear tips and tail tip are brightly colored, and match the creature’s magical nature. When a lagniappe knows it is spotted, it will run quickly.

Lagniappe meat is used in a handful of recipes. It generally recovers 1d4 hp, and provides a small temporary buff aligned to the lagniappe's color. It must be prepared immediately, because the meat and foods that include it, spoil on long rest.
