The extremely different states and tribes unite because of the looming threat of the Aelgari Empire, but also to form a freer and more profitable trade.

Rauhir is a strait that connects the Eastern nations, the Northern tribes and the various nations of the Aelgari Continent. Their market was fragmented and goods were expensive to transport because the many tariffs each nation would impose. With the growing power of the Empire and the more modern demand for foreign goods and spices, the nations came together under a temporary constitution. This constitution was later revised and the Republic formed.
