The Deification of Vidir, Monumental of Nature

Following the Arcanoclysm, the world was plunged into chaos. Many of the Monumental places of worship had crumbled during the seismic shift, while many more of the Monumentals themselves suffered mortal wounds on the field of battle. The following century would see the rise of the first Mortal soul to experience Apotheosis to replace a fallen deity, their long departed spirit ascending to the role of Monumental.

In the aftermath of the Great Shatter, many Monumental avatars had fallen in battle, while numerous temples were damaged or destroyed during the continental shift and seismic chaos that came as the celestial rings drifted into the starfields. One such Monumental represented the natural world in Kaldrold, but the century following their death, and the disrepair of their temples and shrines would see their name fade into obscurity.   In it's place ascended Vidir, formerly Saint Vidir Estur, known to many as a powerful cleric who served the Monumental of Nature in Kaldrold's early days. Legends told of her unyielding shield arm in the face of the Elder Tempest, and her kind rule that followed, and her place of prominence within the largest temples to the former Monumental only cemented her reverence. This was finalized by the establishment of the first Temple of the WildFlower in 110SE   From the body of the fallen Monumental avatar would spring a wild forest, one of the darkest in all of Kaldrold, that would come to be known as the Myrkwood.
