Political event
The appointment of an official, singular point of rule during times of crisis within Kaldrold, known as the Wild King, as well as the appointment of Clan Jarls to lead in each Hold.
Following the descent of the Elder Tempest, the Chosen Six return home to a heroes welcome. No mere gift seemed worthy for those that had saved the Kaldrn way of life, so instead the Chosen were appointed as rulers among their respective clans. Audun Osmund, once an Eldritch Knight, became the first Jarl of Clan Jorren and ruled with a keen mind, one that encouraged the search for knowledge, leading to the construction of the Great Archive in their capital. The constant presence of a Ljosdrif, or advisor, at the side of the Wild King is also one of Audun's mandates. Saint Vidír Estur, once a Domain of Life Cleric, became the first Jarl of Clan Hafra, governing with both a kind heart and an unbending shield-arm. It is in the Hafra Clan's territory that the oldest surviving temple exists, outside of those that worship Kaldhrenn Doomcleaver himself, though the name of the Goddess who it was built in reverence to has long been lost to the ages. Hemming Ugagni, once a Scout, became the first Jarl of Clan Hestura, and ruled impulsively and selfishly, leading the Hesturan people down a path bereft of true law and order. As a result, the first organized thieves and assassins guilds of Kaldrold were founded beneath the streets of the Hesturan Capital, before spreading their roots outward to the other Holds. Runa Hastain, once a Bard of Valor, became the first Jarl of Clan Mudra, allowing her to propagate the reach of the College where she honed her craft. Minstrels were not unheard of in Kaldrold before Runa, but few took to the fields of war until she set the example on thee Heavenspear Mount. Thyra Ullsgard, once a Champion, became the first Jarl of Veidrorg, but without a Hold or significant territory to call her own, she became known as the Nomad Jarl. Due to her selfless actions during the battle with the Elder Tempest, she and her people were treated with respect among the Holds, and were allowed safe passage within reason. Thyra herself would often accompany the Wild King as his Ljosdrif, as nominated by Jarl Osmund and appointed by the mutual agreement of the remaining Jarls. The Veidrorg Clans would exist wandering the lands. Odds are, in fact, that Vildr found outside of Kaldrold's icy borders are likely part of the wandering clan. Einer Godefroy, Once a Barbarian of the Path of the Zealot, became not only the first Jarl of Klor, but also the first Wild King of the Vildr, a position signified by the ice cold crown carved from the Heart of the Tempest that granted him authority on inter-clan manners, particularly during times of foreign strife. The Capital Hold of the Klor territories fortified it's militia under the guidance of his unyielding strength, and in his honour was the culture's first arena for the sport of combat was built. This arena doubles as a place of worship for the Warfather, the patron Monumental of the Vildr people, and would be the ceremonial grounds that would hold any official challenges for the Brumal Crown, a rite of combat to the death that would decide a new Wild King or Queen.
