Ever-Dreamer
The Ever-Dreamers are as close to what Gwyndaer has of what the Kalashtar would be in other realms. However, rather than drawing their power from the plane of dreams, their magic is of the earth and of memory. The land remembers everything, everyone who has walked upon it. Magic permeates every bit of the planet. The Ever-dreamers use this energy to store memories of generations of their people within themselves. Though every Ever-Dreamer has latent ability, only those who are trained can be receptacles for memory. These members of the race hold places of high esteem in Ever-Dreamer communities, though due to the genocide of the Ever-Dreamers by queen Brenhine Bairen in 675 AR, no such individuals exist in 1246 AR, their memory and their power stolen and housed in the 7 (now 4) mythical Sama-Fik of Cusan, who use this ability to store memory themselves with the assistance of these gems. Thought the origin of the the Sama-fik is known only to few Cusanians, the genocide was never forgotten by the Ever-Dreamers. However, the people of the Forgotten Lands are not aware of Cusan as a country, or that her descendent Verillia and the Sama-fik exist. Recently, the Ever-Dreamers felt a resurgence of magic (due to the Sama-fik being used as energy sources and weapons) that feels very familiar; as such they are keen to investigate.
Ever-Dreamer children exhibit bigger gulfs in behavior when compared to humans than adults do. Whilst human children will run, play, laugh, and show an emotional immaturity, Ever-dreamer children behave much like adults, learning about memory of both the community and the earth. Growing up for the Ever-Dreamer is incidental and a physical process rather than an emotional or mental one. This affectation even more so amongst those trained to be receptacles.
Creatures of Memory Every Ever-Dreamer has some residual connection to past lives of ancestors, though without training these abilities cannot be manifested with any level of focus, a typical Ever-Dreamer will have quirks of their ancestors, slivers of their lives that can sometimes surface, even if those quirks are contrary to how the person would normally act of their own accord. Those that have had memory passed down consciously may have several quirks, as the memories they receive from their elder may be almost as strong as those they formed in their own life.

Basic Information
Biological Traits
While genetically similar to humans, Ever-dreamers natural hair color differs, often exhibiting shades of blue, green, and grey. Their eyes can be bright blue or green but are also often cloudy or milky white. If you were not aware you were speaking to an Ever-dreamer with the latter type of eyes, you might assume they were a blind human.
Genetics and Reproduction
Ever-Dreamers are genetically similar to other Humanoid races, but can only reliably reproduce with each other and humans. If an Ever-dreamer procreates with a human, there is only a small chance the offspring will also be an Ever-dreamer. Children born of Ever-dreamer/Elven relationships never exhibit Ever-Dreamer traits, and are sterile.
Growth Rate & Stages
Ever-Dreamers physically grow at the same rate as Humans, but are mentally mature much sooner, usually as soon as they are able to speak.
Additional Information
Facial characteristics
Ever-Dreamers are often fair-featured and do not grow facial hair.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
While once found all over world in small numbers and in large numbers in Cusan, the Ever-dreamers now number in the hundreds, and are only found in the Forgotten Lands, known to the native peoples as Penaya Zemyl.
Average Intelligence
The Ever-dreamers possess intelligence equal to that of other humanoids, Receptacles often exceeding human limitations.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
All Ever-dreamers have some psychic sensitivity, and many go on to be trained as memory receptacles, though this power has diminished over many generations.
