Peil designs

While relatively new in the mobile suit market Peil Technologies has already made several notable MS. All of Peil´s designs favor manoeuvrability and speed, harkening back to their lineage as a racing ship manufacturer.

S-01 Razorback

Peil Technologies very first MS and targeted entirely towards the civilian market. The Razorback is a luxury racing mobile suit made for ultra-rich thrill seekers and as such is completely unarmed. It does however feature decent armor around its cockpit to protect the pilot and up to 2 passengers. The interior is stylish and comfortable, with a full 360 panoramic screen and pilot controls made-to-order for every customer. The Razorback was a huge success an laid to foundation for Peil´s later developments.

F/D-19 Zowort

The latest military offering from Peil. A lightweight, fast and agile machine made for sustained flight in atmosphere and hit-and-run attacks in space. The Zowort features the latest tech and is marketed as both a recon and a ranged strike unit. The base model has a single pilots seat with large monitors (marketed as a cost saving compared to the panoramic monitors found in the civilian model) and is lightly armored but features an ejection pod, a rarity in older MS designs. While not armed by default, the base model can easily be equipped with almost any hand held rifle, launcher or shield found in the Federations arsenal.   The Zowort has been purchased in limited numbers by Federation police but is not expected to enter military service in any substantial capacity. There are however rumours that both Behemoth and Neo-Zeon have been in talks with Peil about acquiring the Zogwort, although the legality of this is questionable. All Zowort models both military and civilian are currently being tested and trained on at Nadeshiko Technical Academy.

F/S-19 Zowort Striker

A weapons upgrade to the base Zowort equipping it with long range, heavy hitting firepower. A long-range railgun is fitted to the Zoworts right arm, loaded with armor-piercing tungsten rounds. Other ammunition types are being tested but have yet to be fielded. Additional armaments include a large, rapid-fire missile pod and a beam dagger, although the latter is consider a self-defense weapon at best. To compensate for the added bulk and recoil of the railgun additional manoeuvring thrusters have been fitted, maintaining the Zoworts agility and speed.

R/ED-19 Zowort AWAC

An electronic warfare and early warning version of the Zowort, this variant adds a vast array of sensors and computer systems as well as a second pilots seat for a dedicated electronic warfare officer. While not meant for front line combat, the Zowort AWAC is equipped with the a lightweight version of the same railgun found on the Zowort Striker to enable it to supply limited fire support in combat, although with a reduced ammunitions and damage due to the immense power draw of the radar and electronic warfare systems. This variant is the first to field the next-generation Minovsky Particle Wave Searcher (MPWS a spotting radar previously only found on large warships and space installations. This type of "radar" is able to find and target mobile suits and ships even through the heavy distortive effects of minovsky particles. The technology is still experimental but has shown great potential.
