For 100 years the human sphere has been under the control of the Federation, a union of the new governments of Earth and Mars after the total devastation of the Calamity War. But while Earth and Mars settled their differences after the war and shared power their colonies were left unrepresented. More than half of humanity now live in space colonies, massive space stations in-between the planets, serving the Federation.
It is now the 99th year of this new age of humanity that was named the Dream Century by the signees of the Treaty of Luna, the peace treaty that ended the Calamity war. Tensions are high as the first century of the new timekeeping draws to a close and humanity is no closer to equality than it was 100 years ago.
