Synapse Model
Sometimes a situation just doesn't call for a human mind placed in a war form. It doesn't require sentient thought or awareness. Perhaps the opposite, where the job requires an instinct that humans don't have.
Thus, other AMPs are deployed using reconstructed brains and neural pathways of hounds, or horses, or what have you need of. Of course, those creatures can't be left to run roughshod with their instincts. That's where the Synapse Models come in. With similar cerebral sockets to the Pilot Models that are implanted right into the cerebellum of the Machine-Mind. These sockets are then slotted with several powerful transceivers capable of connecting to the Machine-Minds of lesser creatures, allowing the user to guide the AMP or even flat-out take control.
It isn't uncommon for Synapse Model's to have a sort of set squad of AMPs that they maintain and take care of. A pack of drones, if you will, one that they are generally very close with.
