Armor of Varathrax

The Armor of Varathrax is a legendary artifact of Tynathria, the Creator of Worlds and Mother of All Dragons. Comprised of four powerful relics, this armor embodies the essence of chromatic dragons, infused with their elemental might and the will of their ancient progenitor. Forged through forbidden draconic soul-binding rituals, the armor is not merely a relic of power—it is a conduit for Tynathria’s return. When fully assembled, the wearer does not simply don a suit of armor—they become the Avatar of Tynathria, an incarnation of her divine presence.  

Origins of the Armor

  The creation of the Armor of Varathrax is attributed to Varathrax, a fanatical Drakkyl sorcerer who devoted his existence to Tynathria’s supremacy. Varathrax believed that mortal power was fleeting and that only through divine essence could eternal dominance be achieved.   Determined to forge a vessel worthy of his queen, Varathrax sought the lost secrets of draconic soul forging, a forbidden magic capable of binding the essence of dragons into artifacts of unimaginable power. Through these rituals, he infused each piece of the armor with the spirit and elemental fury of Tynathria’s chromatic progeny:  

• Red Dragon – Fire
• Blue Dragon – Lightning
• Green Dragon – Poison
• Black Dragon – Acid
• White Dragon – Cold

  In the final ritual, Varathrax sacrificed his own soul, embedding fragments of himself within each piece, ensuring that whoever wielded the armor would inherit not only its power but his undying devotion to Tynathria.   However, before he could fulfill his purpose, a coalition of celestial champions and mortal heroes struck him down. Though he wielded the armor’s immense power, he was ultimately defeated and his body was lost. With his final command, Varathrax ordered his followers to scatter the armor, ensuring that only those deemed worthy by Tynathria herself could reclaim it.  

Scattering of the Armor

  Each piece of the Armor of Varathrax was sealed away in locations of great elemental power, surrounded by trials designed to test loyalty, strength, and cunning.   The four pieces were hidden as follows:  

1. Helm of Titan’s Wrath – Buried within the Pharaoh’s Tomb in Numeria, where eternal flames burn through time.
2. Breastplate of Chromatic Dominion – Sealed in the Rainbow Caverns of the Mwangi Expanse, concealed behind shifting elemental illusions and treacherous visions.
3. Boots of the Five-Headed Flight – Hidden atop a storm-wreathed peak in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, where only the bold may walk among the storm.
4. Gauntlets of the Dragon’s Command – The left gauntlet was lost to time, last seen in the hands of Arcaan, the Doomfist, before vanishing into the grasp of a mysterious lich. The right gauntlet is fused to Dagourn, High Priest of the Church of the First, bound to his flesh by Tynathria’s will.

Each piece awakens upon contact with another, subtly guiding its bearer toward the next, ensuring that only the strong, the cunning, or the devout can reclaim the full set.  

The Power of the Armor

  The Armor of Varathrax is not merely armor—it is a vessel of transformation. Those who wear its pieces experience visions of Tynathria’s lost empire, their bodies subtly changing to reflect her influence. They may develop scales of shifting chromatic hues, an unnatural presence that commands fear and reverence, or even an aura of divine majesty.   When fully assembled and worn, the armor does not simply empower its wearer—it manifests the Avatar of Tynathria. The bearer becomes a conduit for her essence, their physical form merging with the overwhelming power of the Mother of All Dragons. In this state, they are no longer mortal, but an incarnation of her will, imbued with her elemental fury and divine purpose.   Those who seek to assemble the armor must understand the truth of its legacy—the wearer is not meant to wield its power, but to serve as the instrument of Tynathria’s return.

  The Armor of Varathrax remains one of the most coveted and feared artifacts in history. To some, it represents the ultimate weapon, granting dominion over the elements and the strength of dragons themselves. To others, it is a herald of destruction, a tool designed to reshape the world into Tynathria’s image.   The reassembly of the armor is a prophecy fulfilled, marking the first step toward her return. Whether its next bearer embraces her divine vision or resists her influence, one truth remains:   The Armor of Varathrax is not worn. It claims its wearer.
