Career
Qualifications
One must first Worship a god before even considering clerichood. They must enter Priesthood, who will be given very minor clerical spells, typically for healing. Priests will then enter a special training to become a Cleric, depending on the god. Some gods will turn people into Clerics quickly, like Kraos, who turns all who worship him into Clerics, but also restricts who can worship him.
Career Progression
Clerics start as priests, as said earlier, and can continue ranking up in churches. A Cleric is ranked between the Bishop and the Priest, and powerful Clerics can continue increasing in ranks. They can rank up to Archbishops, Cardinals, and eventually, a Pope.
Payment & Reimbursement
Clerics are paid with how much they can find while adventuring, as well as payment from someone who may have hired them for his connections to the Gods.
Other Benefits
Most Clerics are loved by most creatures, even evil ones. because they are able to and are usually willing to heal others and help people usually out of the good of their heart, or with a small fee.
Clerics of death gods and of Evil gods are usually feared and hated, for the simple fact that they may be in town to kill people.
Clerics also automatically gain access to their God's realm, and will be allowed to be close angels to the god.

Clerics require their Holy Symbols to be able to easily cast their spells. hey also use Maces, Hammers, Leather, Scale, or Chain Armor, and Light Crossbows.

Being a Cleric automatically makes you an enemy of other outsider beings. If you worship a God, you will be hunted by Devils and Demons. If you worship an Archdevil, you will be hunted by Angels and Demons. If you worship a Demon Lord, you will be hunted by Angels and Devils. Basically, worshipping something good will have you be hunted by evil, and worshipping evil will have you be worshipped by good and evil.
