Thalaston

Along the pebble strewn shores, where the Mundi River flows into Hook Bay sits the Northerner port city of Thalaston. The city is the primary port for goods flowing to an from Tierney from across the Silver Sea and Congoma Ocean. While this is a relatively dangerous prospect, visitors can often find worldly traders along the wharfs the stretch into the Mundi River. The city is home to a variety of northern peoples includes dwarves, humans and half-orcs. Fishing in Hook Bay and timber are the primary industries in town, and many of the residents are often rugged laborers or their families. However, the waters of Hook Bay are prime spawning grounds for the Todean Blade, a large fish and delicacy among nothern peoples. While the wharfs and streets are often bustling with activity during the mild summer months, the river can freeze over in the winter, while the biting winds sweeping in from Hook Bay keep many indoors. Although, some local farmers and hermits may make their way into town to weather particularly difficult winter storms.
