During a late evening after work, Jaxson and Evening talk about Evening's dreams of forming a hero team.

It was 9:36 pm, and Jaxson was already tired of the show he was watching.   It was just a rerun of a crappy episode, but he needed some kind of mental stimulation. His day at work was long and tiring, but he was still too buzzed from his multiple cups of coffee from the day. He laid along the couch, his head hanging off the arm rest. He rubbed at his temples, trying to ease his headache from the caffeine.   Suddenly, the door opened, and Jaxson leaned his head back more to look towards the door. Evening entered the apartment, throwing her bag on the dining room table.   "How was your closing shift?" Jaxson asked, and all he got was a grumble in return as she went directly for the fridge. He sighed, feeling the same.   "I'm tired of this, Jax," she said as she opened the fridge door. He heard a clank of a bottle, and assumed she grabbed one of their bottles of alcohol.   "Same, retail just takes everything out of me, and I'm a sociable person. It must be hell for you, considering how introverted you are," he commented, lowering the volume on the T.V.; even if she didn't want to talk, she probably would've preferred for it to be a little bit quieter in the apartment after a long shift.   "When you said Arkhall was a place of new beginnings, I didn't really think we would be doing long shifts in retail in order to survive," she sighed, and chugged some of the bottle. "I know that we're not struggling when it comes to money, but this isn't what I had in mine for my life here."   "What did you have in mind?" he asked, sitting up on the couch to look at her as she entered the living room. She offered the bottle to him, and he took it and took a swig.   "Honestly, I thought we would be doing some good for society."   "What do you mean?"   "Well, we both have some good abilities that we're really adept at using. I originally thought that we would've been able to become heroes. We naturally work well together, so I thought we would've been fighting crime together. Plus, doesn't Arkhall have a somewhat higher than average crime rate? We would be beneficial to society, and do what we've been doing since we were runaways," Evening explained, staring at a spot on the wall. Jaxson could see the disappointment in her eyes. Not at him, he didn't think, but at herself for not being better.   "Well, why don't we become heroes, then?" he suggested, offering the bottle back to her. She raised her eyebrow at him as she reached over the grab the bottle.   "How would we even do that? It's hard to get registered as a hero nowadays, and we can't go all vigilante unless we wanna get ourselves into trouble," she countered. He could tell she thought about this a lot, and also thought of all the reasons why she couldn't do it.   "Well, isn't it pretty easy to register a hero group? There's not as many compared to individual heroes so they'll more likely to register us that way."   "We need at least 3 people total to register as a group, and as of right now we barely even know anyone in this city despite living here for years."   "You mean you don't know anyone."   "Besides that, as a group, you need to have a headquarters so the government doesn't think you're just trying to reap the benefits of being a group but actually working separately. We don't have nearly anywhere enough money to fund any kind of headquarters. Unless we can find a third person who could fund that along with all the fees and expenses, we're kind of screwed," she sighed, taking a long swig of the drink.   "The headquarters doesn't have to be anything fancy, it just needs to be a place that can end up being registered as a business space, and has at least more than 75% of the members living there," Jaxson countered. She raised her eyebrow at him. "What? I've researched this a bit myself too, ya know. We could theoretically could have this apartment registered as a headquarters if we wanted to, just need to have one more person join us and help us finance everything."   "Well, once you find a third person that would be willing to 'share the limelight' and actually would work well with us, then let me know. Until then, I guess I can start saving up for some of the expenses we'll have to pay," she said, getting up off the chair she was sitting in, taking the bottle with her.   "So that means we're gonna do it?" Jaxson called after her as she retreated back to her room.   "We're gonna try."
