Evening and Jaxson end up meeting Zander Lanzarotta, the heir to Lanzarotta Enterprises, and Evening has an off feeling to the man.
"What about this?" Jaxson asked, holding up a box of oddly shaped graham crackers. Evening looked at it, a look of confusion and digest on her face. "Those make my brain confused, so that's a no," she answered, turning back to look at the side of the aisle she was on. Jaxson grimaced, putting the box back on the shelf. They walked down the grocery aisle, before hearing a loud commotion ahead of them. They looked to the source of the sound, to see a bunch of girls fanning around a man who just seemed to be trying to shop. "What's their deal?" Evening asked out loud, and Jaxson shrugged. "He's probably a celeb or something. Don't recognize him," he commented, and then he suddenly locked eyes with the mysterious man. "He is attractive, though." The man started walking towards the two after dismissing the crowd of girls, and Jaxson panicked, trying to fix his hair, while Evening just stood there, uninterested and unimpressed. "You two are Evening and Jaxson, right? From the Divine Guardians?" the man asked, and Jaxson stood up straight, surprised. "Y-yeah! How do you know our group? We're really small right now and only recently formed," he asked, and the man chuckled slightly. "I try to keep up with any hero groups in the city, just so I'm aware," he simply stated, and Evening raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?" she asked, but she was ignored. "My name is Zander Lanzarotta, I'm the heir to Lanzarotta Enterprises," he continued, and then Jaxson suddenly perked up. "Oh! I've heard of them! That's the corporation that owns our electric company, Lanztricity!" Jaxson turned to Evening to explain it to her, and she rolled her eyes. "How fitting," she muttered under her breath. "I've seen the work that your group does, I would love to talk to you guys more about how we can help each other," Zander said, and the two friends looked at him curiously. "How so?" Jaxson asked, and Zander simply smiled. He handed him his business card. "Call my assistant, and set up an appointment so we can all talk, including your other member." Jaxson took the card, staring at it. He looked up at Zander, who then sent him a wink. "Hope to hear from you guys soon," he said lowly, and then walked off from them, with the two friends just watching him. "He gives me bad vibes," Evening said, grabbing the business card from Jaxson to look at it. Jaxson was still staring at where Zander walked off towards. "I don't know, I think I kind of like him," Jaxson said wistfully, and Evening gave him a slap on the back to snap him out of it. "Stop developing crushes on any attractive person you meet," she said simply, and Jaxson frowned. She looked at the card more, her eyes landing on the number for Zander's assistant. "Maybe we should hear what he has to say, and see what his intentions are," she muttered, although unsure of her decision.
