Horil

Horil is a classical language that has been in use since ancient times. First attested in an archaic form with the first instances of proper writing from about 1850 BCA in a logo-syllabic script known as "Linear Horil". It was written in this form throughout the Bronze Age before disappearing in the centuries following the Dischitic Bronze Age Collapse. Inscriptions tail off from about 650 BCA and the latest confirmed Linear Horil inscription dates from around 500 BCA. Writing reemerges around 200 BCA in a new alphabetic script which would go on to influence scripts as far as Tira Vellan, Varani, and Vallaran.

Classification

Horil is sometimes classified as an independent branch of the controversial Terrid family, alongside the Nordo-Sayedic and Navidic orsid languages. This classification, and the entire Terrid family, are controversial, and most linguists consider Horil an isolate. Horils are the only known Chilovakian race with only a single native language or language family, likely owing the limited geographical spread of the horils and early development of writing.   Translation: They were riding from Svarog to Okcjon.
