Fangfram

Fangfram is the gathering place of the Grass Tribes that inhabit the island of Framland, the westernmost of The Freeisles. There are no other permanent settlements on the island, and even Fangfram consists mostly of tents and huts protected by a ring-shaped palisade. The Grass Tribes are leonin, loxodons, centaurs and minotaurs that spend their days hunting game on the island's vast pastures. They also arrange many athletic games and races for both entertainment and training purposes.   The largest building on the village belongs to the tribe's shaman Matarut, a sagacious loxodon who has led her people for centuries. Her loyal assistant is a gnoll healer called Scritch, who patches up the hunters brought to recover in the village.   The cow-hide colored minotaur bowyer Noomi Fastarrow is considered the most eligible bachelorette on the island. She gladly makes bows and spears for the tribesmen, but will only accept the hand of someone who fells the most fearsome game. Lately, that has been a fire-breathing rhinoceros that is slowly but surely burning down the grasslands, threatening the livelihood of the entire community.
